Northern Mountains Survival

Northern Lake Survival

Winter Survival
Extreme Adventures of Vermont will take you and up to 3 other people into the wilderness to see if you can survive. This is a 7-day survival adventure.

You have seen the all the TV shows now try it yourself. We will bring a camera with us to video the whole experience just as they do on TV. You will be with a trained survival expert the whole time and he will teach you skills you will need to make it through the week.

He will not be doing things for you! He will be teaching you and keeping you safe. You will be dropped off on a back road or paddle down a river and then hike into a Forest of your choice. You will have limited gear and can choose just a few items from the lists bellow. You will learn how to keep a positive mental attitude, basic wilderness first aid, shelter building, fire craft, signaling, water purification, and how to harvest food.

In the end, after “rescue,” you will know how to cope with the psychological stresses, treat injuries, improvise shelters, start and maintain a fire in any weather, find and purify water, understand how to procure food and how to use a compass! This is NOT camping, you will not have a tent, this will not be a comfortable nights sleep the first night. This is as real as it gets, yes you will have a guide with you to teach you but your guide will not cater to you, will not build your shelter, will not start your fire, will not find you food. This is a week of “real survival” as if you where actually lost in the woods.

Bellow are lists of what you need to bring and lists of what we supply as well as a list of items that you can choose from. You can only choose 2 things from each category, not 2 things each person, 2 things total.
